2010 Season Begins with Indoor T&F
Baltimore, MD. – January 20, 2010
The New Year of 2010 has begun with the start of the Indoor track & field season. This winter’s highlight will be the World Indoor T&F Championships scheduled for March 12-14th in Qatar Doha. Athletes across the world have begun to compete in various track meets in preparation for their national champoinships and the World Indoors.
World Express Athletic Management enters 2010 with the addition of several talented athletes both experienced and new found talent. The new athletes to the group includes Olympic Games participants & medalists LaShauntea Moore (200m), Bernard Williams (4×100 & 200m) and Tabia Charles (Long Jump). The talented athletes include Greg Nixon (400m), Miriam Barnes (400H), Joe Greene (400H) and Latosha Wallace (400H).
A revision of the World Express website (www.worldexpressmgmt.com) will be released in the coming weeks introducing each athlete along with their accomplishments and career highlights.
This past weekend marked the opening of competitions for those focusing on the indoor season. World Express athletes posted results at various college meets. 2008 World Indoor gold medalist Greg Nixon posted an season opener :46.40 and :20.97 at Northern Arizona’s meeting in Flagstaff Az. Nixon is the headliner for the Russian Winter IAAF Indoor Permit on February 7 in Moscow. Nixon is announced as one of the top names for men´s 400 m field. Bahamian olympic relay medalist Ramon Miller is also entered. From home elite olympic relay silver winner Denis Alekseyev along with Vladislav Frolov. Rabah Yusif a Sudanese living in Great Britain is another top name with his team-mate Ali Nagmeldin. All the competitors in Moscow will be going after the meet record of 45.81 by Ibrahim Ismail from Qatar in 1996.
US hurdle talent Joel Brown opened his indoor season at his college alumni meeting on Jan 8th with a :7.78 first place clocking. Brown next travels to Europe looking to improve on his PR of :7.48 he ran 2009 in Stuttgart. Brown is confirmed for:

Feb 2nd – Gothenberg, SWE
Feb 4th – Linz, AUS
Feb 6th – Stuttgart, GER
After his european tour, Brown will return to the US and prepare for the National Championship Feb. 27-28th in New Mexico. Joining Brown in New Mexico will be 2009 World Champion Brittney Reese. Reese will defend her US Indoor title from 2009 and looks to qualify for her first World Indoor Championships. Due to her studies, Reese will only compete in college meets in the US.
After injury cancelled her 2009 season, US 400m talent Jessica Cousins is back training full-time and opened the season on Jan 9th at the Arkansas Invitational running :53.72 and :23.98. Her training is geared toward the US Championships and a spot on the US team.
2004 US Olympian LaShauntea Moore will be running on the US team for the 5-nation match in Glasgow Scotland on Jan 30th in the 200m event. Moore opened her indoor season at the Texas A&M Invitational running :7.37 for 60 meters and :23.40 in the 200 meters on the fast banked track. 2008 Beijing gold medalist Reggie Witherspoon also ran at Texas A&M with a :21.51 clocking.
Newcomer and 2009 NCAA 400H All-American Joe Greene opened his post-collegiate career with a lifetime best for 500 meters posting 1:01.81 at the Gotham Classic on the fast NYC Armory Track. Greene looks to make his first US national team in one of the toughest events. His next scheduled meet will be this coming weekend at Univ. of North Carolina – Chapel Hill.
This coming weekend (Jan 22-23rd) World Express athletes will travel to Fayetteville Arkansas for the Razorback Invitational. Scheduled to compete will be:

Deirdre Mullen – High Jump
Miriam Barnes – 400m Latosha Wallace – 400m
Reggie Witherspoon – 200m and 400m
On Feb 4-5th, World Express will be sending 5 athletes to the Knights of Columbus Saskatchewan Indoor Games in Saskatoon. Scheduled to compete at Canada’s only international indoor track and field meet will be:
Bernard Williams – 50m and 60m
Kenyata Coleman – 200m and 400m
Demi Omole – 50m and 60m
Latosha Wallace – 200m and 400m
Ramon Sosa – 60m hurdles
