Brittany Reese Signs with World Express Athletic Management

2-Time NCAA Long Jump Champion Brittany Reese of the University of Mississippi has signed on to join World Express Athletic Management. Reese currently has the world’s #1 ranked performance in the women’s long jump at 6.93 meters. Last weekend Reese won her 2nd NCAA outdoor title to go along with her NCAA indoor title. This year Reese also won the SEC conference title with a new meet record performance.
In 2007, Reese placed 8th in the finals of the World Outdoor T&F Championships in Osaka Japan and ending up with the #1 ranking in the United States by
Mark Jelks - 100m (2007 Osaka), Joel Brown - 110m hurdles (2005 Helsinki) and Brittany Reese - Long Jump (2007 Osaka).
World Express president Mark Pryor believes that his group could have as many as 5 athletes in Beijing for the Olympic Games. Those potential Olympians are: Brittany Reese (USA), Mark Jelks (USA), Ivory Williams (USA), Sherridan Kirk (Trinidad) and Joel Brown (USA). Other World Express athletes to watch are Reggie Witherspoon in the 400 meters and Bryan Steele (JAM) in the 400H. The US Olympic Trials to decide those athletes who will comprise the Olympic team is set to begin next weekend in Eugene Oregon (June 27th - July 6th).
World Express athletes will travel to Europe in July after the US Trials to compete at several athletics meetings as preparations for the T&F events of the Olympic Games scheduled for. Those events scheduled for competion will be the 24th Vardinoyiannia meting in Rethymno Greece, the Luzern Spitzenleichathletik Meet in Switzerland, DN Galan Super GP meeting in Stockholm Sweden and the Herculis Super GP meeting in Monte Carlo, Monaco.
